Solid wood Lounge rangeThe Solid wood radiata lounge collection is made from Radiata pine (Pinus radiata), stained with walnut and then waxed to seal in the solid colour. Some of the pieces in the lounge range are also available in solid oak, please see solid oak lounge range. In a time of rapidly diminishing international forestry resources, New Zealand is assured of a continuing supply of the world's most valuable and versatile plantation-grown softwood. Radiata Pine, originally a native of California, thrives in New Zealand soils and climatic conditions. Radiata pine is medium-density softwood, even-textured and easy to slice, peel, mould, turn, sand, plane, glue, stain and paint. Radiata pine clearwood (wood that is free of defects such as knots, holes or other blemishes) is one of the worlds best clearwoods. The Solid wood brushed american white oak lounge range The Solid wood Oak lounge range, as it's name implies is made from American white oak, with a brushed effect. Being solid oak these products are both functional and beautiful to the eye.
