Leather beds
Here are some tips in taking care of our fabulous range of leather beds.
Caring for leather beds is easy!! Just dust with a dry soft cloth! The leather has been permanently preserved in the tanning process so it needs no maintenance. For spills, always try and mop up immediately, though don't worry, even if the spill is absorbed it will dissipate in time.
Do NOT use saddle or ordinary soaps, oils, abrasive cleaners, furniture polish, varnish or ammonia water.
Spots & Spills :- Blot excess liquid. If necessary, use clear, lukewarm water and gently wipe the spill. If you do use water it's best to clean the entire area for a uniform finish. Dry off with a clean towel and then leave to dry naturally – never use a hair dryer or other heat source.
Stubborn stain? Add some gentle soapflakes to the water and repeat the process, rinsing well before drying.
For butter, oil and grease :- Blot off excess then leave alone. Do NOT use water on grease. The spot should dissipate into the leather after a short time, just like human skin absorbs and eventually dissipates grease and oil.
