The Sofa factory
As a Furniture manufacturer we are able to carry out other types of Upholstery work. Whether it be Bar seating to oversized stools, to curtains and so much more. We also carry out work for Interior Designers, Tony Bond, Kul Cuthbert, Jane Thomas and many more, in association with New Town sofas. If you have an unusual out of the ordinary requirement then why not give us a ring, if it can be done we can do it ! ! !
Below are some of the sights you would find if you visited the factory. Once your order has been placed, your fabric is then ordered. On arrival at the factory one of the cutters cuts out all the desired pieces. Using her upholstery knowledge Naz one of the machinists then puts the jigsaw together, believe me sometimes its not easy, well infact it's never easy. Once sewn the covers are then passed on to one of the upholsterers, who uses his skills to create the desired product. The finishers then check over your suite and fit any facings, Castors or bun feet, that you may have requested. If you are having foam seat cushions, these are cut on the foam cutting machine by a skilled foam cutter, taking great care, as a 5' spinning blade can take a slice out of you just as quick as a meat slicer can from the butchers. The last part of the process is when the cushion fillers put the cushions on the sofa, ready for the delivery men to deliver your suite to your door. In some cases they have to take out windows etc to get the sofa in. We make sure if it can go in, it will.
